Known for her unique methodology using the arts as a tool for community building and personal transformation, Lily Yeh has built a distinguished career, one that spans the globe. As an artist, teacher, community activist, and global citizen, Yeh, founder of both The Village of Arts and Humanities and Barefoot Artists, has completed community-driven projects in North Philadelphia, China, Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, and Ecuador, to name a few. Working with local communities, artists, and volunteers, Yeh’s projects demonstrate that artists can create the foundation for profound social change.
